Original World War II (WW2) German K98 Mauser 3 Pocket Ammunition (AMMO) Pouch

Here is a Late World War II German K98 Mauser 3-Pocket Ammunition Pouch. The ammunition pouch is well made, but is in used condition and shows some wear. Manufacturer mark on the back as follows:

RBNr.0/0404/0008

I am told that by late 1942, the manufacturer marked names were phased out and replaced with National Factory Code numbers. This factory code system, called the RB Nr. (Reichbetrieb Nummer) system, was likely a better way to track war manufactured components and may have even been used to hide the locations of factories.

The leather is black and has the pebble grain which was the standard for pouches manufactured after 1939. It looks to be all original, with all straps, studs, belt loops, suspender ring, and internal dividers. This pouch has unusual vertical stitching pattern on lid straps on each side of the vertical rivets, that is typical of this manufacturer number.
