Vintage Original 1972 Red Tires Corgi Rocket Firing BATMOBILE 267 w Original Box

Vintage 1972 Rare Red Tires Corgi BATMOBILE #267 w/ Original Box - Unrestored. Comes in the original box which is in good condition with some storage wear. The batmobile has not been played with, but seems to have small flea bites. Everything is original with absolutely no replacements. It was adult owned and comes from a pet free, smoke free home. 

The distinguishing features of this version include a filled-in nostrils on the bat nose, tail lights that are also completely filled in, whizzwheels (8 spokes & bald tires) and a non-moving exhaust flame, the tail fin tips were shorter than on earlier versions

In about 1972, as a result of a production mistake Corgi liked and decided to keep for a while, Corgi produced a Batmobile with red hard plastic tyres. These were actually whizzwheels on a thin, flexible axle so the car would roll very freely. As a result, this was the only year one could purchase this version of the Batmobile! This is why this is one of the most sought after and most difficult ones to find.
